Personal History: James' parents met at the age of 20, and soon after they got married. This whole time, George did not know of Katie's magical abilities. They soon had a son, and as he grew older, his abilities started to slowly show, and his father noticed that his son was not 'normal'. At long last, Katie admitted that she was a witch. George did not take this news easy, and for almost a week, he didn't even believe it to be true. When james was 9 years old, it was evident that he was a wizard, and his father had to finally accept the truth, and by the time he was 10, they were all expecting the Hogwarts acceptance letter. When it never arrived, the family were disappointed, but were proud of their son never-the-less, and decided to educate him at home.

RP Receiving Your Acceptance Letter: Home schooling started for James at the age of 11 after his Hogwarts letter never arrived. When he was 15, he heard that Hogwarts was reopening, and hope of a different future rose as his mother wrote to the school, enrolling her son in its magical walls. Homeschooling wasn't too bad for James, and over the years he took a liking for Transfiguration and Defence Against the Dark Arts, but his grades slipped when it came to Herbology. A month or so before his 16th birthday, it was to his great surprise and delight when he got a letter from Hogwarts, and he was accepted. it was a relief to his mother no to have to continue teaching him at herbology at home anymore, and before he knew it, he was off to Diagon Alley to buy his school supplies.
